Christmas Crafting Workshop

The venue for our Christmas Crafting Workshop is The Fairway, Elmhirst Lane, Barnsley which is just 1 mile from junction 37 of the M1 so easily accessible from all directions. There is plenty of car parking (including disabled spaces) and access is through the hotel reception. The workshop room is situated on the 2nd floor, however there is a lift which can accommodate a wheelchair and there are no steps along the corridor so there should not be any problems for anyone wanting to join us who may have mobility issues.

The cost for the day is just £70 which includes all materials and tuition for the morning and afternoon workshops, teas, coffees and cordials throughout the day plus a buffet lunch so that we can meet all dietary requirements. Soft or alcoholic drinks are available to purchase separately from the ground floor bar during the day and may be brought back to the workshop room.

Your day will start when we meet from 9.30am for tea and coffee and our first workshop will start at 10am. The morning workshop will involve yarn and we will be working on projects which can be either knitted or crocheted – just let us know your preference when we confirm your booking. Our buffet lunch will be served at noon so that we can keep our energy levels up ready for the afternoon session. The afternoon workshop commences at 1pm and we will be making rag tied Christmas Wreaths. A selection of different colour fabrics will be available and we will ask for your preference when we confirm your booking so that your kit is all ready for you to start using straight away. There will be more tea and coffee during the afternoon session. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and our day will finish around 5pm.

If you are travelling any distance to join us and would like to add an overnight stay to either side of the workshop The Fairway have 38 modern en-suite rooms that are available to book. The most cost effective way for you to make a booking is via www.booking.com as we are unable to offer any discounted room rates.

Terms and Conditions

Payment for the event is required in full at the time of booking. Once you have booked you will receive an email confirmation which will include all of the information you need. If, for any reason, you wish to cancel your booking a full refund will be given as long we receive your request within 7 days of your booking.  Unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund if you wish to cancel any later than November 10th due to the financial commitment we have to give to the venue but we may be able to amend your booking and move you to a future event (subject to availability) if we manage to fill your place prior.

Cancellation of workshop:

·  If the workshop cannot go ahead for any reason that is out of Happy Making Day’s control, i.e. extreme weather conditions, a decision or fault made by the venue owners etc, then no refund is due unless within the 7-day cancellation period.

·  If Happy Making Days is responsible for the cancellation then a full refund will be made.
